Brandon Wilhoite is a man who is going to deal with excruciating loss this week. His wife passed away today. She had been battling Acute Myelogenous Leukemia since July of '06.
Actually, the title of this entry was originally "I want you all to pray for Amy". I posted the link to her prayer blog, where both Brandon and Amy posted updates on Amy's condition....how she was doing both physically and spiritually....and how it altered the family dynamic. This morning I felt the need to check up on her, so I visited the website for the first time in maybe a month. Brandon wrote, "There is a lot of doubt as to whether she will survive this infection. One of the doctors yeterday said we could be looking at a couple of hours, or a couple of days."
So I wrote an entry, asking you to pray. It was only after I had posted the link that I clicked on it again and found that Amy went home to the Lord this afternoon around 4:00.
Guys, my heart is sick for him. And I'm grieved the idea that her little son, Gary, is not going to know his mommy.
Pray for them, please.
