This Sunday is gonna be the last KidStuf for the year. Then the whole church will take leave till the fall. Man, I am gonna miss my character. It is so.....fun to be someone completely different two or three times a month. Tyler--who was originally cast a boy, but altered to be more like a pseudo-tomboy (since I'm clearly of the feminine persuasion)--is such an eccentric, daring, bold, incredibly stupid child. Her clothes never match, and she's always wearing sneakers. Any other type of footwear would keep her from fully revelling in her spontaneous tendencies. She gets into messes because she's not afraid. She sees what she loves, and she runs for it. She is so unlike me in almost every way....but she is so like everything I kind of wish I was.*sigh* I will miss her.

Work is going well. Just today, they gave me kudos and a framed certificate for my upcoming 1-year anniversary with the company. It was, I think, a nice little thing to do. :-) I really do love working with these guys. My boss is a believer. Heck, my "vice-boss" goes to church with me! The people are friendly and relaxed (most of them, anyway) and it's just been a total blessing to have an opportunity to work here.
Just thought I'd say so. :-)

I have pretty much latched on to my KT Tunstall CD lately. If you don't know her stuff, you must check it out here.
Her most popular track would probably be "Black Horse And Cherry Tree" (that's the "I came across a place in the middle of nowhere/With a big black horse and a cherry tree/woo-hoo, woo-hoo" song.) But there's another track on that site called "Heal Over". Very underrated.
Also very much worth the listen is "Suddenly I See". In general, the entire album is *particularly* good.
So there. Now you have your required listening for the week. ;-)

Wish I had more to say this time around. Here's to hoping this is just a boring slump and I haven't actually lost whatever powers of observation I once had. *grin*
Until next time, I bid thee adieu,
~Ashley Michele~
